How Crateble Works: Products vs Items

Last updated About 1 month ago

On Crateble, users can find a wide variety of collectibles from all manner of fields and spaces. There are two main types of collectible on Crateble: Products, and Items

All items start as Products on Crateble. Products are displayed on the Products tab, on the Marketplace, or in the Crateble Shop. They represent the unique attributes of a collectible, including the name, MSRP, rarity, and the number of active listings and sales on Crateble.

An Item is a Product which has been added to a portfolio. Items represent a specific copy of a Product, such as a user’s copy of a card as shown in the example below

Users can view the Items in their portfolio on the Account page, and can edit the details of an item by clicking on the Edit button and filling out the appropriate fields

You may not be able to view all of the Items or data that a user has in their portfolio - Premium users, for instance, have private mode available, which hides the items in their portfolio.
